Gauteng Transport, Roads and Works MEC Ignatius Jacobs and Gautrain Project
Leader Jack van der Merwe will hold a media round table on the new Gautrain
branding.
During the briefing the MEC will announce details of a competition, which
will give Gauteng residents a chance to choose between two logos. The winning
logo will be the trademark for the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link.
This initiative is aimed at giving future Gautrain commuters an option to
vote for the logo of their choice. The two options will be subjected to a
public validation process commencing on 8 March 2006.
