MEC for Public Works, Honourable Howard Yawa is to handover the newly built
Reabetswe Secondary School in Ipelegeng Township near Schweizer-Reneke for
official opening on Tuesday, 1 August 2006.
The handover of the school building project is part of the provincial
programme in support of National Construction Week which was launched by MEC
Yawa on Thursday, 27 August 2006 with the handover and official opening of
Father Smangaliso Comprehensive High School in Winterveldt.
Meanwhile, the Department of Public Works in partnership with private sector
construction professionals will host a project site visit by Grade 10 Maths and
Science learners from Arefadimeng Secondary School at the Matlosana Secure
Centre construction site on Wednesday, 2 August 2006.
On Thursday, the department wraps up its Provincial Construction Awareness
Campaign Programme by hosting a project site visit by learners from Pule Leeuw
Secondary School to the Vryburg Hospital Revitalisation Project.
The objective of the project visits is for learners to experience the
construction process and to offer practical insight of the involvement of the
various professions in the built environment.
