tells Comrades runner

North West MEC for Public Works, Honourable Howard Yawa today congratulated
Raseriki Makgotla for qualifying to take part in the 81st prestigious
ultramarathon, the Comrades Marathon on Friday, 16 June 2006. “You have the
courage, character, commitment and camaraderie that the Comrades Marathon
demands. Your race number, 32470 represents the hope of all the citizens of the
province and all employees of the department. A comrades victory is not
impossible for the North West province.”

“Andrew Kelehe did it for the North West Province in 2001. You can also do
it. Our hopes and well wishes are with you all the way,” said MEC Yawa. The
forty-two years old Makgotla is a Chief Industrial Technician in the Building
Directorate at the Provincial Head Office of the Department of Public Works. He
is part of the Mafikeng Road Runner Club and finished the 42.2 Ottosdal
Nightrace Marathon in 4 hours 27 minutes last year as well as the 50 kilometres
Loskop Resort Marathon Race in 5 hours 30 minutes in early May this year.
