Prayer session for learners writing their final examinations
The Mpumalanga Departments of Education, Culture, Sport and Recreation in collaboration with the Moral Regeneration Movement request all religious institutions and communities to conduct prayer sessions of goodwill for all learners who will be writing their final examinations this year.
Grade 12 learners will start writing on 27 October 2014 in full scale. Mpumalanga Province has 54 000 learners registered to write these examinations and is expecting the results to improve from 77.6% which was obtained in 2013 to 87.6%. The announcement of results will be made on 6 January 2015.
The Provincial Prayer Session will be held on Thursday, 23 October 2014 at Ingwenyama Lodge in Mbombela Local Municipality at 17h00.
“I humbly request all religious institutions to dedicate this time to pray for all learners who will be sitting for the final examinations, for the smooth management of the examination process as it has happened in the past four years. May you also pray for a qualitative pass rate. Teachers and schools have done their part all we need to do now is to offer our undivided support to our learners through prayers as well,” said MEC Mhaule.
Pastors from all corners of the province are invited.
The MEC for Education, Mrs. Reginah Mhaule will grace the event.
