Minister Didiza to hand over the first set of title deeds of leased farms and present the close-out report of the IMC on Land Reform and Agriculture
The Minister for Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, Ms Thoko Didiza, will present the close-out report of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Land Reform and Agriculture (IMC) and hand over the first set of title deeds to 100 farmers who have been leasing State land for farming purposes.
After intensive consultations with farmers leasing the State land, the Cabinet resolved to transfer the tittle deeds to farmers holding State land leases. This is in line with the sixth administration government’s commitment to increase equitable access to land and strengthen tenure security for farmers.
Dignitaries who will be in attendance include senior government leaders, members of the IMC, members of the Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, MECs of Agriculture, and the Executive Mayors.
