Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Cluster hosts Community Imbizo to strengthen the fight against GBVF scourge, 8 Aug

The Justice, Crime Prevention and Security (JCPS) Cluster, and the Limpopo provincial and local government leadership, led by the co-chairperson of the cluster, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi will on Friday, 08 August 2025, host a Community Imbizo to strengthen efforts aimed at combating the Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) scourge.

The Imbizo which is part of the Women's Month activities, will take place at Ga-Kgapane Community Hall (Sasko), outside Tzaneen in the Mopani District, Limpopo Province under the theme, "GBVF Prevention through Education and Community Engagement".

Other members of the Executive who will be in attendance include the Minister of Social Development, Nokuzola Tolashe and Deputy Minister of Police, Polly Boshielo among others.

Before the formal imbizo proceedings commence at the Ga-Kgapane Community Hall, the JCPS Ministerial delegation will conduct oversight visits at the Bolobedu Police Station and the Ga-Kgapane Magistrate Court to assess the efficacy of their systems in handling incidents of GBVF in the area.
