The Gauteng Provincial Government will be hosting President Hu Jintao,
President of the People's Republic of China, at the Maropeng Visitors Centre at
the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site on 7 February 2007.
President Hu Jintao will be making remarks about cultural relations with
South Africa and the contribution of the People's Republic of China to the
African World Heritage Fund set up by the United Nations Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) World Heritage Committee at its
meeting in Durban in July 2006.
