The MEC for the Department of Agriculture will be handing over 180 water
tanks to the 12 wards of OR Tambo.
The event will take place at Idutywa on 26 February 2006.
The community of Idutywa has embarked on Siyazondla project, which assists
in the upliftment and poverty eradication in the villages, and one of the
projects is the growing of vegetables. Their challenge was the availability of
water to water their gardens. On Saturday the MEC will be providing them with
water tanks in order to fulfil the promises he made to them last time he
visited the place.
This Department has invested about R170 000 on funding this project.
