Minister Fraser-Moleketi to address SAMDI’s second Presidential
Strategic Development Programme (PSLDP) Graduation Ceremony

24 February 2006

Public Service and Administration Minister Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi will
address the South African Management Development Institute's (SAMDI) second
graduation ceremony for the Presidential Strategic Leadership Development
Programme (PSLDP) on Monday, 27 February 2006, at the Potchefstroom campus of
the North West University.

Launched by President Thabo Mbeki in 2000, the PSLDP is a high-level
strategic leadership development programme, aimed at increasing the capacity of
senior managers in the public service.

The graduation ceremony is significant in that it demonstrates the coming
into fruition of the President’s call that the programme "must serve to nurture
within the public service a leadership which can lead and perform its work in a
professional and holistic way.”

A total of 91 graduates, coming from both national and provincial
administrations, will be honoured on the day. The graduation ceremony will be
attended by senior officials from both the public service and the North West
University.

All media is invited to the graduation ceremony, which will be held as
follows:

Date: Monday, 27 February 2006
Venue: North West University (Potchefstroom Campus, Sanlam Auditorium)
