The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) will be hosting the third and final activation of its Start Here programme at Mdantsane City Shopping Centre, Entrance 1 parking lot.
The Start Here initiative is a comprehensive Career Guidance programme which is aimed at enabling young people to access reliable and up-to-date information upon which to make informed decisions about their lives and their future. All fourteen NYDA branches across South Africa will be offering free one-on-one career guidance from 18-27 February 2013. These activations seek to create awareness around the Start Here Campaign as well as other NYDA products and services.
“It’s been humbling to see the massive difference that the Start Here programme and similar NYDA projects targeting matriculants are making in the lives of young people across the country. We’re encouraging young people in Buffalo City to enrol for the programmes and be in a position to make informed decisions about their careers. Young people need to understand that as an organisation, we will do all we can to ensure that the youth are afforded an opportunity to access opportunities,” said Steven Ngubeni, NYDA Chief Executive Officer.
Activations took place in two other provinces, Mpumalanga and Limpopo. To obtain more information on these programmes and when the Start Here career guidance begins, visit NYDA website www.nyda.gov.za and your nearest NYDA branch.
