Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Mr. Jeff Radebe, will officially open a two-day induction seminar for new Judges in Southern Africa.
The seminar will be hosted by the International Commission of Jurists in conjunction with the Southern Africa Chief Justice’s forum and the African Judges and Jurists forum under the theme: “Enhancing the role of the judiciary in Advancing Africa’s Development and democratic values”.
The main objective of the seminar is to ensure that newly appointed officers are well equipped for their new assignment and also keep abreast of modern development in law generally.
Amongst the dignitaries who will be conducting the training is Madam Justice Yvonne Mokgoro (RSA) (Rtd), Madam Justice Kate O’Regan (RSA) (Rtd), Mr. Justice Moses Chinhengo (Zimbabwe), and Mr. Justice Anaclet Chipeta (Malawi),Mr. Justice Esme Chombo(Malawi) and Mr. Justice OBK Dingake Botswana.
