Defence bestows medals to South African National Defence Force members, 24 Oct

In their monumental quest to safeguard South Africa and its people and contribute to regional as well as continental security, members of the South African National Defence

Force (SANDF) at the Logistics Division will be conferred with medals following their sterling performance when discharging their national duty. Chief of Logistics Division,

Lieutenant General Bongani Mbatha will bestow medals to deserving SANDF members who distinguished themselves in various capacities in defence of the territorial integrity of the Republic of South Africa. All the proceedings will take place on Friday 24 October 2014 at Pretoria Military Sports Grounds, in the vicinity of Thaba Tshwane.

Medals of various categories, ranging from thirty years and twenty years, will be bestowed to the recipients who sacrificed and rendered selfless and uninterrupted service to the South African National Defence Force. A colourful medal parade of this gravity sets as a reminder to the recipients that swelling the ranks of the SANDF embodies commitment, willingness to serve the country with pride and discipline.
