The Minister of Education, Mrs Naledi Pandor, MP, and her Angolan
counterpart, Dr António Burity da Silva Neto Bravo, held a meeting today in
Pretoria. Deputy Minister, Enver Surty, MP, the Director-General of the
Department of Education, Mr Duncan Hindle and other senior departmental
officials also attended the meeting.
Dr António Burity da Silva Neto Bravo is in the country from today until 23
June 2006 at the invitation of the South African Minister of Education.
Minister Burity is leading a delegation of 13 senior officials. The aim of the
visit is to identify mutual areas of cooperation and develop a Plan of Action
as the basis for the signing of an Agreement later this year.
