Freedom of the City of Johannesburg parade

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) will participate in the
annual Freedom of the City Johannesburg Parade on Saturday, 11 November 2006.
The parade will depart from Commissioner and Simmonds Street at 10h15 and will
be at the Cenotaph in Harrison Street, Johannesburg at 11h00 for the main
ceremony.
His Worship, the Executive Mayor of Johannesburg, Councillor Amos Masondo
will take general salute, inspect and address the parade.
This colourful military ceremony will include march past by columns of march
led six Light Anti Air Regiment, accompanied by eleven colour parties from the
regiments who are holding an existing freedom of entry into the City of
Johannesburg status and 21 SA Infantry Battalion. Approximately 400 SANDF
members will participate in this year's parade.
A 23 millimetre Anti Air Gun and a G6 Artillery Gun Howitzer will be
displayed on parade.
