D Peters to announce renovations for school, 14 Jun

Northern Cape Premier assists a local school to get a
'facelift'

12 June 2006

Like most old schools in the Galeshewe Township, the Reneilwe Primary School
is dilapidated and rundown. This poor state of the school led to a request
which was presented to Premier Peters by the school in which the school
management highlighted some of the key areas that needed urgent infrastructural
attention.
The Premier then forwarded their request to various business people and a local
businessman responded positively to the request.

Members of the media are requested to come and witness the announcement made
by the company as this will be the first major economic injection into a local
school by a private company. The costly infrastructural development which will
be done on the existing school structure will be done and financed by the
company.

Premier would use the opportunity to highlight to the parents the importance
of their involvement in their children's education by volunteering some of
their time towards the completion of this project.
