The KZN Acting Regional Commissioner Mr Mnikelwa Nxele invites news editors
and journalists to attend the community outreach projects that are to be handed
out to the beneficiary communities by the below mentioned correctional centres.
This is to assist correctional services in its struggle for re-integration and
placement of offenders to communities. It is also to assist the government of
the day in fighting poverty. These events are as follows:
Event 1
Date: 24 February 2009
Venue: Bathembu Hall, Umsinga (rehabilitation is a social responsibility)
Time: 9h00
Event 2
Date: 25 February 2009
Venue: Dicks Community Hall, Newcastle (Handing over of garden project which
was made by Waterval offenders to community member)
Time: 9h00
