As part of the Imbizo Focus Week the Department of Local Government and
Housing in Mpumalanga, will be meeting with all consultants and contractors who
have done work, are currently doing work or would like to do work for the
department. During these interactive sessions MEC Candith Mashego-Dlamini is
expected to interface with the consultants and contractors on a number of
issues that affect the department. MEC Mashego-Dlamini is expected to hear the
different views from the consultants and contractors on how they would like the
department to improve its operations and their frustrations. She will also
outline her expectations.
The meetings will seek to find a common approach between government
consultants and contractors on how best to improve service delivery. MEC
Mashego-Dlamini will be accompanied by the senior management of the department.
This year's Imbizo will be held under the theme "Social Mobilisation for
Development and Safer Communities." The meetings are scheduled as follows:
