Gauteng MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Barbara Creecy, will
hand over gymnastics equipment worth R50 000 to the community of Westbury in
Johannesburg.
The event is part of the department's key priorities in promoting sports and
recreation amongst the people of Gauteng.
The handover comes after the MEC has visited the area and saw a need for
sporting equipment. The event is also part of the department's mass
participation programme to allow young people to participate in different
sporting codes.'
