As part of National Public Participation Week Premier Helen Zille and her Cabinet will be taking government to the people.
The aim of these engagements is to provide a platform for ordinary citizens to interact with government, to raise their concerns and dissatisfaction about issues that affect them, and to explore solutions to tackle these.
The first meeting took place in Mitchells Plain last night, with three MECs attending; Theuns Botha (Health), Advocate Max Lennit (Community Safety) and Dr Ivan Meyer (Social Development).
Tonight’s engagement will be in Gugulethu with Donald Grant (Education), Bonginkosi Madikizela (Housing) and Dr Ivan Meyer (Social Development) attending. The meeting will start at 19h00 and will take place in the Gugulethu sport complex.
