The Western Cape Department of Health’s Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services and Metropolitan Rescue are currently on the scene of an accident on the N1 outgoing, at the Old Oak turnoff.
A heavy duty vehicle, carrying radio-active material, turned over at 11h38 this morning. Both occupants of the vehicle sustained mild injuries and were taken to Louis Leipoldt hospital.
The N1 is closed in both directions (the N1 outgoing is closed at the Durban Road turnoff and the N1 ingoing is closed at the R300 turnoff.)
