The Minister of Community Safety, Advocate Lennit Max conveys his condolences to the family of the murdered eight (8) year old Yunus Desai whose body was found near Rocklands, Mitchells Plain on Sunday.
He also expressed his shock that the boy's father might be responsible for the act. The family is the primary and most secured unit of safety in every child's life. It is a worrying fact that threats to the safe world of our children comes from the environment that is supposed to protect our children from the outside world.
Max urged parents to keep a tight security on their children and surround them with people who can be trusted at all times. Max said the case would be properly investigated to ensure that the perpetrator pay for his callous deed.
