Following the assessments of all municipalities in terms of governance, financial management, service delivery and labour relation, the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs is hosting the Local government Indaba to bring all stakeholders under one roof to deliberate on the status of local sphere of government.
Various stakeholders will converge at Birchwood Conference Centre over two days to consolidate the Report on the state of Local Government. The Indaba will also conclude the turn around strategy for local government which will inform necessary intervention to enhance viability and efficiency in the municipality.
