The Department of Health’s Western Cape Rehabilitation Centre (WCRC) and the QuadPara Association of the Western Cape (QAWC) will join forces in holding the first Mitchell’s Plain Wheelchair Challenge.
The main objective of the event is to market the WCRC. It also intends to:
* create an opportunity for every one, disabled and non-disabled to have fun
* enable participation in a sporting event for persons with disabilities
* introduce persons with disabilities to a wider range of assistive devices
* raise awareness regarding disability.
