The Wreck and Salvage Act 94 of 1996 intends:
- to provide for the salvage of certain vessels and for the application in the Republic of the International Convention of Salvage, 1989; and
- to provide for the repeal or amendment of certain provisions of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1951, and the amendment of the Admiralty Jurisdiction Regulation Act, 1983; and
- to provide for matters connected therewith.
