            The South African Social Security Agency Act 9 of 2004 intends:
- to provide for the establishment of the South African Social Security Agency as an agent for the administration and payment of social assistance;
- to provide for the prospective administration and payment of social security by the Agency and the provision of services related thereto; and
- to provide for matters connected therewith.
Commencement
15 November 2004, excluding Section 4 that commences on 1 April 2006 (Gazette 26999 of 15 November 2004)
