South African Public Library (Board of Trustees) Act, 1921 [No. 6 of 1921]
Act
to increase the representation of the Council of the City of Cape Town under certain conditions on the Board of Trustees of the South African Public Library.
Be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate and the House of Assembly of the Union of South Africa, as follows :-
Board of Trustees of South African Public Library to include an additional representative of Cape Town City Council.
1. Notwithstanding anything contained in section five of the South African Public Library Act 1893 of the Cape of Good Hope (Act No. 33 of 1893), the Board of Trustees of the South African Public Library shall, as long as the Council of the City of Cape Town pays annually to the funds of the said Ltbrary a sum of not less than one thousand pounds (in addition to the Mayor of Cape Town or the other qualified member of the said Council as provided in that section) be increased by one other person elected by the said Council who may or may not be a member thereof.
Short title.
2. This Act may be cited for all purposes as the South African Public Library (Board of Trustees) Act, 1921.
