The Sentech Act 63 of 1996 intends:
- to provide for the transfer of all the shares of the South African Broadcasting Corporation in Sentech (Pty.) Ltd. to the State;
- for the conversion of Sentech (Pty.) Ltd. from a private to a public company, Sentech Ltd.;
- for the control of Sentech Ltd.; and
- for matters connected therewith.
