The Residence in the Republic Regulation Act 23 of 1964 intends:
- to amend
- the Admission or Persons to the Union Regulation Act, 1913 [repealed in 1972],
- the Aliens Act, 1937 [repealed in 1992],
- the South African Citizenship Act, 1949 [repealed in 1995],
- the Departure from the Union Regulation Act, 1955 [repealed in 1991], and
- the Commonwealth Relations Act, 1962 [repealed in 1991], and
- to provide for other incidental matters.
