• to amend the Regulation of Functions of Officers in the Public Service Act, 1980, so as to make different provision as to the duration of that Act.

BE IT ENACTED by the State President and the House of
Assembly of the Republic of South Africa, as follows:-:-

Substitution of section 2 of Act 19 of 1980.

1. The following section is hereby substituted for section 2 of the Regulation of Functions of Officers in the Public Service Act, 1980: 

"Duration of this Act.

2. This Act shall cease to have effect on [l March 1981] a date fixed by the State President by proclamation in the Gazette.".

Short title.

2. This Act shall be called the Regulation of Functions of Officers iti the Public Service Amendment Act ,1981.

Commencement

27 March 1981
