The Promotion of National Unity and Reconciliation Amendment Act 23 of 2003 intends:

to amend the Promotion of National Unity and Reconciliation Act, 1995, so as:
- to allow payments from the President's Fund towards the rehabilitation of communities;
- to make provision regarding funds and property vesting in or accruing to the Fund subject to conditions;
- to provide for the appointment of committees after the dissolution of the Commission; and
- to confer additional powers on the Minister; and
to provide for matters connected therewith.
