            The Correctional Services (previously Prisons) Amendment Act 6 of 1985 intends:
- to amend the Correctional Services (previously Prisons) Act, 1959, so as
- to extend the definitions of "photograph" and "take" and to define the word "publish";
- to make provision for the temporary promotion of commissioned officers;
- to extend the power of the Minister to enter into agreements with other governments relating to the reception and detention of certain prisoners; and
- to extend the power of the Commissioner to delegate certain powers delegated to him; and
 
- to provide for incidental matters.
