The Pharmacy Amendment Act 6 of 1995 intends:

  • to amend the Pharmacy Act, 1974, so as
  • to insert certain definitions and to amend others;
  • to provide for the establishment, constitution and objects of the Interim Pharmacy Council of South Africa;
  • to provide for the abolition of the South African Pharmacy Council; and
  • to provide for the repeal of certain laws in respect of the pharmaceutical profession which remained in force in the various territories. of the national territory of the Republic by virtue of section 229 of the Constitution; and
  • to provide for matters connected therewith.
