The Pension Laws Amendment Act 61 of 1960 intends:

  • to amend the Government Service Pensions Act, 1955 [repealed in 1966];
  • to give an option to certain persons to include certain periods of employment in their pensionable service;
  • to provide for the payment of bonuses to persons in receipt of certain pensions, grants or payments and for the repeal of certain existing provisions relating to payment of bonuses to such persons; and
  • to provide for other incidental matters.
