Merchant Shipping Amendment Act 3 of 1982

The Merchant Shipping Amendment Act 3 of 1982 intends:

• To amend the Merchant Shipping Act, 1951, so as
  • to further define the functions of certain officers in relation to the crews of ships; 
  • to further regulate the disposal of wages payabie to seamen; and
  • to provide for the application in the Republic of conventions relating to merchant shipping matters; and
• to provide for matters connected therewith.
