The Magistrates’ Courts Amendment Act 81 of 1997 intends:
- to amend the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1944, so as to repeal or amend certain provisions in order to bring the Act into line with a judgment of the Constitutional Court; and
- to provide for matters connected therewith.
