The repealed Livestock Improvement Amendment Act 60 of 1997 intended:

  • to amend the Livestock Improvement Act, 1977 [repealed in 1998], so as
  • to uniformly regulate the exportation of declared animals;
  • to make provision for the approval of indigenous and locally produced breeds to be exported; and
  • to provide for matters connected therewith.
