The Financial Institutions Amendment Act 22 of 1997 intends:

  • to amend the Financial Institutions (Investment of Funds) Act, 1984 [repealed in 2001], in order
  • to substitute or delete certain definitions;
  • to grant power to the registrar to institute certain civil proceedings in the High Court; and
  • to provide for matters connected therewith.
