Education and Training Amendment Act 52 of 1980

The Education and Training Amendment Act 52 of 1980 intends:

• to amend the Education arid Training Act, 1979, so as
  • to define the expression "calendar month";
  • to expressly make provision for the remuneration: of members of committees of the Council for Education and Training;
  • to make other provision with regard to the determination of allowances payable to members of bodies established for State schools and community schools;
  • to make further provision in connection with the appointment pensionable age, pension rights and retirement benefits, promotion on probation and discharge on· account of continued ill-health of certain teachers;
  • to further define the circumstances under which certain teachers shall be guilty of misconduct; and 
  • to effect certain textual alterations; and
• to provide for matters connected therewith.
