The Deeds Registries Amendment Act 24 of 1989 intends:
- to amend the Deeds Registries Act, 1937, so as
- to further provide for the registration of a transfer of a right of leasehold;
- to further provide for the endorsement of a deed, on divorce and division of a joint estate;
- to provide that an endorsement on a bond substituting the debtor may be extended to a bond securing future debts;
- to provide for the substitution of a lost or destroyed title deed of rights to minerals; and
- for the entering into of agreements with self-governing territories for the rendering of certain
services; and - to provide for matters incidental thereto.
