The Companies Second Amendment Act 69 of 1990 intends:
- to amend the Companies Act, 1973 [repealed in 2011], so as
- to further regulate the powers and duties of the Securities Regulation Panel;
- to make new provision regarding the prohibition of certain dealings In securities;
- to amend the obligation on certain persons to furnish information;
- to provide for the compulsory acquisition of the securities of a minority in an affected transaction; and
- to provide for effective enforcement of the rules of the panel; and
- to provide for matters connected therewith.
