The Civil Defence Amendment Act 5 of 1969 intends:
- to amend the provisions of the Civil Defence Act, 1966 [repealed in 1977], relating to definitions, the Directorate of Civil Defence, the performance of functions and duties under the said Act, delegation of powers, assistance in connection with the application of that Act and the appointment of committees.
