113 of 1990

The Broadcasting Amendment Act 113 of 1990 intends:

  • to amend the Broadcasting Act, 1976 [repealed in 1999], so as
  • to replace the definition of "Minister" and delete the definition of "Republic";
  • to empower the Minister to postpone the payment of television licence fees and to grant exemption from the payment thereof and of penalties;
  • to further regulate the closing date of the financial year of the SABC; and
  • to replace the long title; and
  • to provide for matters connected therewith.
