The Black Laws Amendment Act 42 of 1964 intends:

  • to amend the Native Labour Regulation Act, 1911 [repealed in 1964];
  • to repeal the Native Service Contract Act, 1932;
  • to amend
    • the Black Trust and Land Act, 1936 [repealed in 1991],
    • the Black (Urban Areas) Consolidation Act, 1945 [repealed in 1986],
    • the Black Authorities Act, 1951 [repealed in 1951],
    • the Black Services Levy Act, 1952 [repealed in 1979],
    • the Black (Abolition of Passes and Co-ordination of Documents) Act, 1952 [repealed in 1986],
    • the Black (Prohibition of Interdicts) Act, 1956 [repealed in 1986],
    • the Black Transport Services Act, 1957 [repealed in 1991],
    • the Sorghum Beer Act, 1962 [repealed in 1996], and
    • the Better Administration of Desiguated Areas Act, 1963 [repealed in 1986]; and
  • to substitute the word "native" and derivatives thereof in all laws.
