Agricultural Research Account Amendment Act, 1972 (No. 37 of 1972 )

• to amend the provisions of the Agricultural Research Account Act, 1964, relating to the definitions and donations.

Be it enacted by the State President, the Senate and the House of Assembly of the Republic of South Africa, as follows:-

Amendment of section 1 of Act 37 of 1964.

1. Section 1 of the Agricultural Research Account Act, 1964 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), is hereby amended by the substitution for the definition of "Minister" of the following definition:
"'Minister' means the Minister of Agriculture.".

Amendment of section 3 of Act 37 of 1964.

2. Section 3 of the principal Act is hereby amended by the addition of the following subsection: 

"(3) Any condition of a donation referred to in subsection(2), may be altered by agreement between the donor and the Minister, acting in consultation with the Minister of Finance.".

Short title.

3. This Act shall be called the Agricultural Research Account Amendment Act, 1972.
