Be it enacted by the State President, the Senate and the House of Assembly of the Republic of South Africa, as follows:- 

Insertion of section 8A in Act 74 of 1964.

1; The Admission of Advocates Act, 1964, is hereby amended·
by the insertion of the following section after section 8: 

"State President may witdraw an appointment as senior counsel.

8A. The State President may at the request of any person appointed as a senior counsel of the Republic, while in the service of the State, withdraw such
appointment, and thereupon such person shall revert to the status which he had as an advocate immediately prior to that appointment.

Short title. 

2. This Act shall be called the Admission of Advocates Amendment Act, 1979.
