            The Unemployment Insurance Amendment Act 61 of 1971 intends:
- to amend the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1966 [repealed in 2002], in order :
- to increase the maximum earnings in respect of which contributions are payable;
- to empower the write-off of losses;
- to increase the number of groups;
- to prescribe the additional rates of beuefits and contributions payable; and
 
- to provide for incidental matters.
