The repealed South African Sports Commission Second Amendment Act 57 of 1999 intended:

  • to amend the South African Sports Commission Act, 1998, so as:
    • to provide for the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer to take place in consultation with the Minister of Sport and Recreation and after consultation with the Cabinet; and
    • to provide for the remuneration of the Chief Executive Officer; and
  • to provide for matters connected therewith.
