The repealed South African Sports Commission Act 109 of 1998 intended to:
- to provide for the establishment of the South African Sports Commission;
- to provide for the Commission’s powers with regard to sports administration and development as well as the enhancement of recreation; and
- to provide for matters connected therewith.
