The Second Unemployment Insurance Amendment Act 97 of 1979 intends:

  • to amend the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1966 [repealed in April 2002], in order to preserve for a period of three years the right of certain persons, who were contributors immediately prior to Venda's becoming independent, to benefits and allowances; and
  • to provide for incidental matters.
