25 of 1991

The National Momuments Amendment Act 25 of 1991 intends:

  • to amend the National Monuments Act, 1969 [repealed in 2000], so as
  • to authorize the council to pay to certain members of the council, of its committees or of the committees established under section 3A the remuneration determined by the Minister with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance;
  • to authorize the council to pay to members of the council or of such committees allowances so determined; and
  • to grant to the council greater autonomy with regard to the determination of its establishment, and the payment of remuneration, allowances, subsidies and other benefits to its officers and employees; and
  • to provide for incidental matters.
